Handing over the Keys of my Little House that was Bay Tree Cooking School

A week ago I stood in the driveway of my little house that had been the home of the Bay Tree Cooking School.  It was the day I handed over the keys and my special little house to its new owners.  A young couple who had bought it as their first home. I know they are going to make as many wonderful memories as I have! And boy, do I have memories. All these memories created by the wonderful people I met over the 16 years I had the Bay Tree.

We had some wonderful events too at the cooking school. Birthday parties, stork parties, food and wine evenings, team building and friends get-togethers. Lots of themed cooking classes- Easter, curry evenings and then of course, my team who helped me at various times. I could never have done it without any of them.

Vanette, my very first client in 2000.  All through the years, Vanette came to cooking classes. What a privilege to have her at cooking, celebrating her 70th birthday! Our year always ended with Hot and Cold Christmas classes.  My favourite time of the year. I wish I could have posted a picture of you all, as you are all a part of the Bay Tree.

  • Oh my goodness, Deb 🙁 and 🙂 all at the same time! What wonderful, wonderful times we had inbetween those walls. I can’t even explain how much I miss those days. I think we will all be in mourning for a little while, but I, like you, wish the lucky couple who will be living there the very best and hope that a little bit of the magic that you spread there will rub off onto them. Lots of love xxx

    • Oh my word Marilyn you are so right. If those walls could talk, I think they could write a book.
Thank you for those lovely words about the magic and I do hope the happiness there rubs off on them!
