A French countryside escape designed for food lovers, story seekers and anyone who dreams of long tables in beautiful places.

Join me for an unforgettable six nights and seven days in the heart of the French countryside, at the elegant and historic Chateau de la Creuzette in the charming village of Boussac.

Surrounded by rolling hills, blooming gardens and centuries-old architecture, this carefully curated experience offers the perfect balance of relaxation, culture and culinary delights. From vibrant local markets and hands-on cooking sessions to exciting excursions, each day is thoughtfully planned to immerse you in the authentic flavours, sights and stories of the region.

Whether you are strolling through a country brocante, sampling local produce or sipping champagne in the chateau garden, this spring time escape promises inspiration and a true taste of la vie française.

This local foodie tour begins in Riebeek-Kasteel, a hidden gem tucked away in the heart of the Western Cape — and one of South Africa’s oldest towns. This picturesque village rests in the Riebeek Valley, surrounded by majestic mountains, vineyards and olive groves that stretch across the Swartland. It’s a place with a gentle rhythm: excellent wines, golden olives, character-filled shops, and small restaurants and bistros that invite you to linger a little longer than planned.

From here, we travel through the Swartland and pass through Darling, pausing to soak up its charm. The landscape slowly shifts — rugged, open, and quietly dramatic. There’s something bewitching about this stretch of road: wide skies, unexpected beauty, and stories waiting to be uncovered.

At just the right moment, we arrive in one of nature’s most fleeting spectacles — the region where wildflowers bloom for only a few precious weeks each spring. This journey is timed to meet them at their peak, when the land transforms into a living canvas of colour, reminding us how special it is to be exactly where we are, exactly when we are there.

Our journey culminates in Paternoster, a seaside village known for its white-washed cottages, weathered paths and timeless coastal feel. Here, life slows. The air smells of salt and sea. Meals feel simpler, yet more meaningful. It’s the perfect place to gather, reflect, and share the final chapters of our time together.

Let’s Cook

Stepping into my kitchen for one of my courses isn’t just about learning a recipe. It’s about slowing down, noticing the little things… the aroma of fresh, seasonal ingedients, the gentle sizzle of a pan, the colour of everything coming together… and letting the moment linger.

Each session is a small and intimate group of ladies who share a passion for cooking, creating, and experiencing something new. Together, we explore seasonal menus, taste as we go, and craft moments that linger long after the food is gone.

Courses are held from my home in Benoni, spots are limited and dates are confirmed closer to the time.
